U12 Round-Robin
Posted by Nobody on 4 July 2017
On Saturday, we hosted the last of the U12 7-a-side tournaments this season, which this time took the form of a 7 team round-robin.
A quick rundown of how the games went is as follows:
- Old Wulfs beat Streetley 1-0 in our usual sleepy first performance.
- We then drew 2-2 with Wolverhampton
- Next, a very strong Wednesbury side ran out 4-1 winners – our biggest defeat of the season.
- Telford were then a very good team and a tough challenge. Heads still down from the previous game, we conceded 2 early goals but to be fair to the boys, they rallied and battled back to a 2-2 draw and were unlucky not to win in the end.
- Faith returned, they brushed aside Finchfield and Stafford 4-1 and 4-0 respectively to conclude a successful season.
From over 50 games they have lost only 7 and had lots of wins – well done all.
The day’s scorers were Jake, Dan Taylor and Dylan. Jack impressed at the back and William and Fraser ran well.
Jake and Dan T were strong as ever and Ricky did well when he wasn’t hiding in trees…
Dan Jandu had a varied day, playing some good stuff mixed with his impression of the pope (holy man)
A team with plenty to look forward to next season and they can now enjoy a break.
