Strong results keep the U14s ahead

Our intrepid U14 squad ventured down to a very chilly Edgbaston to play Old Sils and Edgbaston.
Rajveer joined the squad as an addition to the Squad that played last time .
Old Sils were our first opponents , the boys started well and dominated possession , but it took a good ten minutes of pressure and a lot of shots before Jack put us ahead, the second followed soon after from Ben.
Then when all seemed well we switched off twice leaving one of their players free on the D who finished both times very well. 2 - 2 at half-time . The boys learnt their lesson in the second half and defended well when required with good calling and discipline . Eventually running out 5-2 winners, which is a big turn around compared to the 13 - 1 defeat we suffered the last time we played old sills at this level.
Edgbaston were next , the boys carried on the good work passing and calling well and racing into a 5-0 halftime lead 2 from Jack and a couple of stunners from Shiv and Sahib, with Josh adding a nice lifted finish from a tight angle.
We lost focus in the second half allowing Edgbaston to score , but as before the boys regrouped and ran out 7-1 winners in the end. They voted for the whole squad as man of the match. (Wise beyond their years!)
All in all when done to all.
The next games are on Nov 20th at Coventry .
