Indoor Success for Juniors

Only three of our squad had played indoor before, so the first game against Yardley was very much a case of learning the rules and devloping as a team. The boys managed to sneak a 1 0 victory with a Short corner goal from James.
The second game was against Kingswinford, a much older and bigger side than us, but our boys were finding there feet, Jake and Dan Taylor starting to show thier skills, matched with Josh's energy we dominated the game winning 1 0 again a Janes Dunn Short Corner goal.
The next game we started to play some nice hockey using the boards to good effect. Jake scored a nice individual goal and Dylan finished off a lovely passing move between Paul and Josh. Final score 2 0 win v Stafford.
Next up were the hosts Wolverhampton, we raced into a 3 0 lead one of the goals was again a fantastic passing move, Ricky intercepting and releasing the ball to Josh who raced through drew the keeper and slipped the ball to Paul to finish. At this point Dan in goal was in his 6th game in a row as he had doubled up for other teams, up to now only one goal conceeded. We were then a bit generous and let wolves make the score a respectable 3 2 to us.
We played out a 1 1 draw with Kingswinford a passing move between Paul and Josh eaualising for us in the last second to maintain our unbeaten record.
Our final game was a good attacking affair against Lichfield, James put us one up from a short corner, they equalised, Josh put us 2 1 up, they equalised again. Both keepers made plenty of saves to keep the final score 2 2.
So well done to the boys for staying unbeaten and thanks to Neil Ward for umpiring and parents supporting.
