Indoor Heartbreak

Posted by Colin Pearson on 8 November 2012

It's too painful to describe what happened in too much detail, but our Indoor team fell at the final hurdle and finished 2nd in the league. It all came down to the final game, but we couldn't hang on and get the win over Cannock that was required to become champions.

My thanks to all our indoor players this year, especially the ever-present Ablard, Brown and Birch. Thanks also to Hemmings, J Rowlands, Griffiths and our guest Tom Widdowson as well as others who played occasionally.

Man of the season has to be the exceptional Birchy, whose goal tally took us to the brink of greatness.
