Match Report | A disappointing result but a very good performance against higher league opposition. Without Ablard (holiday) and Litchfield (runny nose) the heart of midfield was taken by Griffiths and Gray, both of whom battled hard to fend off the challenge of an organised opposition. Two lapses in concentration allowed Wednesbury to take a lead they would never lose, but Wulfs dominated possession for long periods and were only denied by a superb goalkeeping performance. The second half was similar, Wednesbury scoring with a well-crafted penalty corner but Wulfs moving the ball around the pitch with great style. Tibble made a rare appearance for Wulfs and fitted in well, but it was Tutton with the man of the match performance, constantly making himself available on the left flank and feeding Wulfs attacks time after time. One more pre-season game to go.... |
