4th Team Vs Old Wulfrunians 5

A league match between 2 teams from the same club is always going to be as predictable as a derby match, either team could win. The 5ths from the off came out and played a strong game. We were on the back foot much of the first half, with the 5ths being very strong in midfield. As the half progressed we had opportunities on goal and were too frequently thwarted by an on form Steve Rowlands.

Early on in the second half Sam Aldersley scored from a cross which we failed to clear. However our game was better in the second half particularly in attack, unfortunately Steve in the 5ths goal continued to impress with his saves.

Clearly the 5ths have some good youngsters coming through, and I think we should select them and Steve Rowlands for our next match against them!
