Better result than the eight one defeat earlier in the season against the same opposition.We went in front deservedly when Ed Thompson scored with a first time shot from a Jandu through ball. Luke then conceded comedy goal of the year, carefully watching the ball back to his goaline sadly the finchfield forward, was a bit more alert and put the ball in from about two inches off the line, quite why Luke didn't just kick it is a mystery as it would have been a long corner to them anyway. Finchfield then scored another scrappy goal to go two one up. Wulfs equalized with a trademark Jandu short corner, though to finches and my surprise it was George not me who scored. The second half was a scrappy affair , 2 2 final score, much improved defensive performance, led by Roger,frustrating going forward, lack of movement leading to forced passes, hopefully next week will see a return to pre Xmas performances. |
