Somewhat flattering score for the opposition, we had as many shots but failed to score enough and aided by a couple of umpiring moments for the bloopers tape they were clinical. Ben missed a penalty flick which would have put us in front, Kram missed an open goal from two feet which would have put us further in front. I kept hitting the ball straight to their keeper and in general we huffed and puffed to little effect, John did manage to force one goal in for us. Ben completed his day by getting injured on an attacking short corner, after bleating all year he should be involved, he bleated even more when struck on the foot by the ball as a defender cleared his lines. Things can only get better. |
