Match Report

Old Wulfs maintained their 100% record with a convincing win over title rivals Bloxwich.

The visitors started strongly by packing the midfield to make it hard for Wulfs to stem the flow of attacks throught the middle of the pitch. But Bloxwich couldn't capitalise on their chances and Wulfs soon took the lead, Birch feeding Ablard who struck hard, fast and low to catch the 'keeper flat-footed.

Then Ed Hole prettily deflected a ball into the circle to double the lead.

Bloxwich pulled one back with a lifted shot beating an unsighted 'keeper, but at half time it was 3-1 after Ashworth fed Griffiths who buried his shot into the roof of the net.

Ben Humpherson came on despite injury to shore up the defence, and pushed up to give more freedom to Litchfield and the midfield contingent.

Old Wulfs closed out the game in the second half, Birch marauding up the wing to cause the Bloxwich defense all kinds of problems. The fourth goal came from a Wilson drag flick - sending the goalie the wrong way before slotting it home. Ed Hole got his second to make it 5.

The game effectively over, Bloxwich had their best spell, forcing a number of saves from Pearson, to earn the vote for man of the match.
