Match Report | Under azure skies the two teams of men in the autumn of their years plodded out to battle for a place in the quarter final of the National over 40's Shield. Kingswinford pushed for an early goal spraying the ball wide and attacking the D. But lacking the killer instinct in front of goal Wulfs kept things tight and soon began to dominate possession. With a midfield of Andy Stephens and Rich Roberts Wulfs made the most of their passing ability and tore open the Kingswinford defence. With Jandu on goal scoring form Wulfs were soon 3-0 to the good and Martin owed us all a jug he was destined not to buy. Not much changed in the second half although I do need to mention that K'ford forced a few saves from yours truly. Jandu added one to his tally, Nightingale bagged two and Tibble made it seven. Man of the match Alex Thompson ensured a clean sheet with some faultless defending. Next match 23rd March, we await the draw which could take us as far as Sudbury (google it). By the way many thanks to Neil Ward for umpiring at short notice.
