Match Report | This week saw perhaps the wettest recorded hockey game of all time! This was a bottom of the table clash between two sides who were both seeking their first win of the season. Old Wulfs dominated the first half, pressing Redditch back into their half for long periods and thwarting any attempts at goal. The deadlock was broken with a well struck short corner from Ed Hole into the bottom corner. The second goal quickly followed with Rowlands recieving a pass from Tibble and managing to find the gap between the keepers legs. Our third goal came from another short corner when Hole switched the ball to Rowlands on the post who swept it into the back of the net. Redditch brought the scores back to 3-1 with a lucky rebound off an Archer save. Half time came and the heavens opened. Redditch stepped up their game in the second half and cracks began to show in the 3 man defence who had shown brilliant resiliance thus far. Redditch chose to adopt the highly original formation of 2-2-7, simply flooding their forward positions and finally swamping Old Wulfs defence and finding two quick goals. With 5ish munites to go the umpires brouht the game to a finish due to the weather.
