Match Report | Wulfs scraped 3 points in a crucial encounter for both sides. After 5 minutes of dominance panic set in and allowed Bloxwich to take the lead with a sharp break and finish from a 2 on 1 situation. Chaos ensued as the visitors, having won their only points of the season against Wulfs, sensed fear amongst their opponents. A penalty stroke which might have put them 2 up was skied, and this allowed Wulfs the opportunity to rally. An equaliser soon followed and once again the game turned into the Mark Wilson show. Just like the Jeremy Kyle Show, the Mark Wilson show is unsubtle, brash and in-your-face. But it's hard to turn it off once it's started. Wulfs advanced to 3-1 at half-time thanks to two goals from the big man and one from Matt Cartwright. The second half saw Bloxwich give everything they had, and through pure willpower brought the scores back level. Wulfs were finding it difficult to retain possession from their own 16s and once again began to panic on the ball. As time ran out Wilson once again put Wulfs ahead, but almost immediately the opposition struck back, before a 4th for Wilson sealed the points. Both sides were reduced to 10 men for a while, Tutton the offender for Wulfs. Sometimes you have to win ugly, and this crucial 3 points pushed Wulfs up to mid-table. Man of the match: Wilson. |
