Match Report | An early season wake-up call for a severely depleted Wulfs side. Walsall were disciplined, fast and organised. The exact opposite of the Old Wulfs team. Walsall held the ball well, whereas Wulfs, especially in the first half, couldn't string two passes together. Woeful. Second half was an improvement. Having conceded 6 in the first period, the likes of Beatty, Thorpe, both Cartwrights pulled themselves together and began to work together in defense and midfield. Still it was rare they could supply a frustrated Ashworth. There was one very impressive defense-to-midfield-to-attack passing move in the second half that hopefully is a sign of things to come. Apart from that, mainly dross! Let's hope for better against Finchfield next week. |
