The 3rds lined up at WGS against West Brom 3rds (who, due to availability issues, included 5 of their 1st team who would also be playing in the following game against out 1sts). The game was played in a good spririt throughout, with West Brom's 1sts players being competitive but mainly saving themselves for their next game. West Brom took the lead, taking advanyage of a fortunate touch; we equalised when Rob Bolus' persistence forced the ball over the line, and later took the lead with goal from Haydn Rowlands; West Brom equalised when an under-hit shot from a short corner situation evaded our defenders. So honours even at 2 - 2. The team to work hard and get used to new players - the team having already used 19 different players in only 2 games. On to the start of the league season next weekend.
