4th Team Vs Telford and Wrekin 5s (F)

It's good to be back for a new season and we were so good last time we have all been promoted to the 4ths!!

And how better to start than with a 4.30 start at Telford.

Notable appearances: Mark Underwood the bionic man made his return with new hips and they seem to have given him super-powers. Billy Pearson the latest becoming the fourth Pearson to appear for Old Wulfs. Tom Parry playing a key role despite an 18 mile run the same morning.

Telford were the stronger side with a batch of youngsters but couldn't create much in the first half thanks to the traditionally solid veteran defence of Cooper, Hamilton, Jabbal, Carver, Hill. Not a firm of solicitors.

Lovepreet and Tom ran their legs off as did Ray and Rithick. Peter toiled and Mark had perhaps our best chance with an unconventional effort that the 'keeper managed to keep out. 

We conceded an unlucky goal from a deflected shot that left me in goal with no chance (I'm not going to relate the experience getting my kit out of the shed this time).

As the second half rolled on Telford broke through a number of times but couldn't extend their lead and we all happily retired to the clubhouse for an interesting baked potato tea.
