4th Team Vs Newport 2s

Another super-tricky game for our heroes against top of the league Newport 2nds but having learnt from last week's debacle we settled on a more defensive formation. With this added stability at the back we started with me running headlong into Neil with an NFL tackle. Whoops. Fortunately he was ok.

We let in a few goals in the first half but it could have been worse - Dillworth rolled back the years and made a series of nice saves. Despite being up against it we played some nice hockey at times. Lovepreet had a stormer, but the real revelation recently have been Baz, from his right back position playing with great confidence, taking on and beating players and helping us get forward.

Branav, Rithick and Billy continue to improve and created a few chances moving forward. 

Then we actually scored! A find penalty corner routine slotted home by yours truly for my first goal of the season, and it felt like a win!

Man of the Match - Could have been Dill but as a previous goalie I never liked getting it when we'd let in a few goals, so it's Baz.
