Match Report | Old Wulfs 2nds travelled to Chase Park for the second time this season to face Cannock 3rds. The teams may have started the day in different ends of the table but we always expect a tough task at Cannock and so it proved to be today. Wulfs fielded a much changed lineup and struggled to get into the early part of the game, Cannock sporting an experienced lineup quickly went into a 3 goal lead. Slowly Wulfs got a foothold in the game and replied through Murray. In the second half Wulfs continued to make a number of half chances but couldn't make the break through, at the other end Cannock continued to boss the game and added an additional 3 goals. A difficult game, but it is not every day that you face a veteran ex Great Britain International or that he scores four goals past you. A couple of shout outs today, a thank you to Luke Archer for joining us to play as our 12th man, playing outfield a role he rarely plays. Also a shout out to debutant Andy Jackson who put in a cracking shift in midfield. |
