2nd Team Vs Sutton Coldfield 5s

Old Wulfs 2s travelled to Sutton Colfield 5s in a mid table clash played on a crisp January afternoon.

With two of the regular back 5 missing it was not surprising that we conceded an early goal after a series of marking mix ups. We grew into the game and O'Sullivan equalised after following up a Murray shot. Wulfs bossed the half but again conceded before the break with Lally turning into his own net from a Sutton wide ball. Wulfs pushed again and Roberts equalised from a short corner.

The second half had less chances but either side could have pinched a winner, but a draw was a fair result. The second half was also notable for Chairman Duhra gaining his first ever card for accidentally impeding the forward in the D. It's not often you hear an umpire apologize for sending a player off.

Man of the Match this week for the all energy performance of Harry Brookes. Always an attacking threat but particularly in his link ups with Ted Murray, but he also put in a shift in his defensive dutes.
