2nd Team Vs Lichfield 5s

A much changed side travelled to Lichfield for the penultimate game of the season. Debutants Komal and Armandeep were playing at left and right back respectively and added significantly to the attacking skills of the side. The flip side is that we seemed unwittingly to have adopted the Kevin Keegan philosophy of "we only have to score more than them". However all seemed well with a 3-0 lead. Unforunately being exposed at the back allowed Lichfield to get back in the game at 3-3. Old Wulfs pushed on to 4-3 and Lichfield levelled with minutes to go before we scored the winner just before the final whistle.

Goals were scored by Kram, Gary, Finn and Komal x 2. Vish played very well in his last game of the season and Gary O'Sullivan returned to an unfavoured centre back role following injury to Martin Cox. Rich Roberts also left the field early with Kram dropping back into midfield. Whilst the kamikaze tactics succeeded there were also significant periods of effective and productive hockey which bodes very well moving forward.
