Masters Over 50's Vs Worcester O50’s

At the third time of trying (Original fixture cancelled due to weather, and second game under direction of England Hockey), A slightly reduced OW O50's squad comprising of 12 players due to injuries, Covid and work commitments, (including some former members and friends from other Clubs played Worcester in the first round of the EH Plate competition.

We competed well and the final score reflects Worcester's better finishing rather than our lack of attacking intent. Down 0 -2 at half time, we got back into the game with a goal from Darren Holyhead, only to concede another under pressure late in the game, losing 1 - 3.

A very good game played in a friendly competitive spirit coupled with friendly post match socialising.

Thanks to all who gave up their time to play, umpire, host and organise in any capacity, it is down to all your efforts that made this event possible and an enjoyable experience. Out the cup and plate comps now, but there is always next years comp. Keep safe.
