Match Report

A chilly 4pm start at Doug Ellis. Dry conditions with a light to moderate breeze. Low UV and pollen count, with medium cloud cover and occasional sunny spells.

The M6 was running smoothly with light traffic so we soon exited at junction 7 onto the A34 towards Walsall where there are roadworks but no delays.

Aldridge & Walsall had a mixture of older skilled guys with some promising youngsters and this was always going to be a close game. Slightly outnumbered in midfield we struggled to gain quality possession but the brick wall of our defence as usual prevented any serious chances for the opposition. No goals by half time in what was a bit of a stalemate of a game. Wulfs took the lead in the second half with a nice goal started by Billy who squared to Sanjiv. With the goal at his mercy he passed instead to Peter (or was it meant to be a shot??) who buried it. The smile on his little face was a sight to behold.

A&W fought back but were denied thanks to a couple of sharp saves from Dill. However they levelled with a nice shot from a yard inside the D.

Yet another nice competitive game and not a bad result.

Man of the Match... Peter gets it for his goal.
