Match Report | A proper competitive and friendly game against the old enemy resulted in a narrow win for the mighty fifths. Wulfs fell behind to a scrambled goal but never lost confidence. Manny held the centre of the park well, barking instructions like a erm... can't think of anything that barks. A suspiciously youthful Sanjiv Corepal equalised after a mazy run and a shot that hit the post and crept in. The winner came from a penalty corner straight from the playbook. Ray injected to Roger who squared to Pearson who slapped to the near post where Ray snook the ball past a helpless goalie. Wulfs largely took control thereafter and a great team performance got the reward it deserved. Well done to everyone but man of the match has to be Ray Jeff who as well as scoring appeared all over the pitch, held the ball and sprayed passes all around. Truly the Peter Pan of the club. |
