| Match Report | It rained and it rained. And it rained. Two debutants for the 5ths - Sanjiv and Josh. More of that later. Playing a defensive game paid off with the 4ths looking a bit toothless in the first half. On the other hand we offered very little as an attacking force, largely unable to get the ball forward other than the odd foray. 4ths finally scrambled a goal and it looked a tricky prospect for us to get anything out of the game. Then.... the new attacking pairing of Sanjiv and Josh linked up after a great move and Josh kept his nerve to tuck the ball away for an equaliser. A few minutes later and virtually the same move nearly led to 5ths taking an unlikely lead, but the ball just went wide. After that it was pretty much an onslaught from the 4ths and they did get a deserved winner, but plenty to be pleased about in a good team performance. Man of the match was Dillworth for a string of good saves. |
