A return to league action and a familiarity about the result but still was good workout against a strong Kingswinford side full of wily old customers we have faced many times before.

Bolstered by the returning Harris brothers we also saw the welcome return of players like Chan, Charley and a newly bionic Roger Cooper. I think he had a head transplant as well as his knees as he looks exactly the same as he did in 1988.

Two great goals from Archie gave us hope but old legs get tired and gaps appeared. Peter was cruelly denied a good goal with the whistle blowing for a pen corner just as he tucked the ball away. Archie could also have had a hattrick if the same hadn't happened. All ifs and buts you know it's a funny old game and I remember Roger Love with old magazines for a chest guard.

On the sidelines it was great to see our old friend Billy Jawanda how we all laughed together about old times.

Best moment of the day; rookie goalie Owen Shave saving a penalty stroke from Colin Morris. Priceless.
