Match Report | 4ths played a home game against City of Birmingham 2 on a surprisingly early sunny afternoon at WGS. Our opponents had to start the game without a goalkeeper (11 outfield players) due to a travel delay, and during the 10 minutes this went on for - and despite them conceding 3 short corners - they held firm to keep the score at 0 - 0 until their keeper arrived. A combination of ball watching and no marking allopwed City of Birmingham to then score 2 goals in quick succession before Sam pulled one back from a well flicked short corner - into half time down 1 - 2. We equalised early in the second half after a good passing move put the ball on Gary's stick and he scored despite the close attentions of their keeper. City of Birmingham then exposed our ball watching and poor marking twice to go 2 - 4 up before Sam scored again from another flicked short corner. Final Score 3 - 4 A disappointing result - we can do better. Man of the match goes to Sam Green.
