Match Report | Normally our match reports are full of Shakespeare, so I'll try to keep the tradition going. The weather was the typical winters tale, you'd expect at Leek, overcast and windy. As the game started , the rhyming couplet of Harry and Gary caused the leek defence problems, without threatening to score ,apart from the occasional comedy of error moments by thier captain presenting us with a good chance ,then Leek found their iambic pentameter like rhythm and pushed wulfs back into their own half. James Wall, tried to extract a pound of flesh from one of the Leek forwards , receiving a green card for a stick tackle . Leek were awarded a generous short corner , from which they won a penalty, Rob doing well to calm Mr Cox down , 1 0 to Leek. Then the weather took a turn for the worse as a tempest rained down on us . Despite creating some decent chances , we were 3 0 down at half time. The second half was a different affair as the defence tamed the shrewd attack of Leek, and the sun came out to play. Roberts, and the walls controlled midfield . Harry tapped in a jandu short corner at the far post . Soon after , Ian wall hit a long ball to Jandu on the wing , who squared the ball to Gary, who passed the ball to Harry who slotted home his second. Then through the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, jandu hit the post twice from short corners , and Leek took advantage by scoring from thier first short corner of the half. 4-2 to Leek, so it was a Shakespearean tragedy in the end .
