2nd Team Vs Shrewsbury 2

A sunny afternoon in Wolverhampton met shrewsbury 2s for what they must have believed would be a pushover game. The game started with a split amount of posession until captain Tom Williams was sent to the dugout for arguing with the umpire, the tide began to change and the Shrews were piling on the pressure, Rajveer was then yellow carded for a tackle I had only seen before in rugby and wulfs were down to 10 men, Shrews pressure kept building and eventually a scrappy short corner managed to find it's way past Dan 'the wall' Jandu in the nets and we entered at half time 1-0 down, some wise words from Tom, Gareth and a cameo from Richard Cartwright saw wulfs pile on the pressure in the 2nd half, Alex Thompson bullied the Shrewsbury forwards by depriving them of supply while ricketts and williams stormed the midfield, a quick counter saw Joe Mellis break away and try and dribble the keeper but the ball ultimately fell to Rajveer who lobbed the keeper and made the game 1-1, Wulfs were not done there and Dan Jandu made some more incredible saves, some good plays in midfield set up a few more counters as we hungered for our first win but ultimately we could not score. The game ended 1-1 after a very solid display with lots of hard work and determination against a team which had not lost and scored almost 20 goals in 3 games including close rivals bridgnorth whom they beat 10-0. 

Player of the match has to go to Dan 'The wall' Jandu for some amazing saves but really all 13 players should leave feeling proud of themselves for a solid display
