Match Report | Old Wulfs welcomed Handsworth Huskies to WGS on a sunny Tuesday in search of a first summer league win. The first half was an evenly contested affair, with Handsworth benefitting hughly from the a successful toss to force the OWHC defenders to defend in the sunlight. Notwithstanding the sunny advantage, Old Wulfs took the lead before a well worked Handsworth counter attack levelled up the score. The tempo was raised once more by Old Wulfs who re-took the lead, but Handsworth were able again to equalise before half time. Notwithstanding the 2-2 scoreline, OWHC were encouraged by the first half performance and begun the second half with some quick fire goals to steam ahead to a 5-2 lead. Both teams scored a goal each towards the end as legs begun to tire to finish the game 6-3. (Apologies for the lack of detail, I forgot the scorers of this game). |
