Match Report

Sadly no points yet but the 5ths become stronger every week. Teamwork is the key - passing and working for each other is constantly improving and despite being under the cosh for the first 10 minutes against Worcester and relying on Matt in goal to keep us only one down we fought our way back into the game.

Then an equaliser and our first goal of the season. The details are a bit hazy as I melted into a hysterical bubble of delerium; it was a pc which resulted in a close range finish from debutant Sam (who also had a great first game) but all I could do was throw my arms in the air shouting "goal!" and dribbling slightly (from my mouth).

We had our chances but couldn't add to the score, and fell to a scrappy goal in the second half.

Some notably improved playing performances; Peter had a stint up front and proved a useful target man in what I can only describe as a 'horrible' woolly hat. Sorry Pete. Baz badgered away in defence and Dylan has now made a successful transition from Badgers with strong tackles and better passing.

Man of the match though for Lovepreet for his incredible energy throughout the game. Playing in midfield he sprinted past me on several occasions either to get back and defend or help out in attack.

To sum up, an enjoyable sojourn to Worcester against a friendly side with decent umpires. Very wet though. And we lost. So not that enjoyable.
