A closely contested game between 5ths and Stourport 6ths was settled in Stourport's favour when they converted a penalty corner just 2 minutes from the end of the game. Both teams had created, and not converted, chances during the game. 5ths had dominated the early exchanges but as the game went on Stourport rallied strongly and we had to work hard to defend and try to re-establish presure on their defence. In the later stages of the game our positional discipline slipped and it was during this lapse that Stourport were awarded what turned out to be the decisive penalty corner. Much good to build on for next week, but ultimately a disappointing result.
