Match Report |
On a miserable afternoon at a venue that many of us had never played at (and struggled to find from the post code!), the fourths started their league campaign. For the first twenty minutes, we were brilliant. We dominated possession and created some good opportunities. However the lack of a goal scorer meant we did not capitalise on this dominance. Kingswinford took their chances, but we continued to fight until the final whistle. Eddie Thompson had a great match leading the line, well supported by Manny Bains and Ben Farmer from midfield. As always, Neil Ward was a rock at the back with Dave Carver making some great interceptions. In goal, Matt Horton was at his best and kept the score respectable. Credit to all the team for giving it their best. I suspect this Kingswinford side will be one of the strongest teams in the league
