Match Report | Old Wulfs took on Market Drayton at the plush facilities of Lilleshall in what was expected to be a relatively easy tie against an as-yet pointless side. The game certainly started in this manner, with Wulfs pressing high and forcing the home side’s defense into mistake after mistake. Andy Hobley quickly took advantage of this frailty and helped himself two two goals in the first 15 minutes. That was all the goals Wulfs could muster in the first period though, despite going close on several occasions. At the start of the second half, Wulfs continued to become frustrated, perhaps trying to force the play too much. This malaise was confounded by Market Drayton scoring against the run of play to make it 2-1. But this seemed to spark a response from Wulfs, who stared to play in a more patient and structured way. By the end they had scored three more, with Ben Ward and Will Ashworth both finishing off overloads with confident strikes, and Hobley completing a hat trick with a tap-in.
