5ths travelled with 11 players (including one under the age of 30) to play Telford 4ths; Telford had a squad of 14 including a number of their young developing players gaining experience and confidence in league hockey. There was no opportunity to include developing players in our team this week as the Badgers team also had an away game. We were 0 – 3 down at half time but had missed a couple of chances to score ourselves. We finished up losing 1 – 7 despite an outstanding display in goal from Steve Rowlands. There was also a rare goal from Ray Jeff with a precision finish when following up at a penalty corner – a masterful combination of accuracy and finely judged ball speed.
