Match Report | As uncertainty over the remainder of the season grows this game became even more important to the 4ths. At stake was the possibility of escaping from the relegation places and a desire to reverse the result from the beginning of January. The 4ths were, for once , at full strength, and were exhorted to start the game fast and with discipline. The first half was competitive in all areas with OW in the ascendancy, but with Lichfield looking strong on the break. Half time saw 0-0 and a crucial 2nd half awaited. Swapping players into positions unsettled the 4ths a little and Lichfield looked more likely to break the deadlock, but the defence held firm. After several unsuccessful short corners OW were given another chance - Mann R firing his strike between the keepers legs and a precious lead, Lichfield fought back, but with minutes to play O'Sullivan slipped his marker and calmly slotted into the far corner. Another excellent team performance, resulting in the points which may keep the 4ths in their accustomed position...
