Match Report |
The fourth team knew that this was going to beĀ another tough Saturday afternoon as they faced the league leaders on a wet afternoon at WGS. There was a moment to remember John Nightingale before the match started, for his service to OWHC.
Julian Myatt made his first appearance as captain Mann was unavailable due to a skiing trip. A pretty one sided first half meant Sutton Coalfield led 4-0 by half time. Unfortunately Savage twisted his knee just before the break, so we had to play the second half with 10 men. The team defended brilliantly and only conceded 3 further goals.
I must thank umpires, Carver and Saunders, for a fine display with the whistle.
