Match Report | OW travelled to face a strong Sutton 5ths team, with several players unavailable and positional changes enforced, this situation exacerbated by an early injury to Cooper A. Sutton took adavantage of these uncertainties and swept into a 6-0 lead by half time, which could have been worse if not for Dill and the skipper providing a couple of timely deflections and touches! Half time team talk - 'Pride, commitment and effort' The result of this was an excellent 2nd half - Thompson nudged a short corner in after Mann and Anderson combined to produce an opening. OW held out at 1-1 (in the 2nd half) but tired legs allowed 2 late Sutton goals. Special mention for Murray playing as a makeshift centre back 2 weeks running the 4ths have encountered the top 2 teams in this division and seen how tough this season will be - next week brings the visit of Finchfield who are 3rd behind Sutton and Newport, should be a breeze!!!
