4th Team Vs Market Drayton 3

The 4ths suffered 2 late, unavoidable, cry offs and travelled to Keele Uni with a bare 11, compared to the MD 15! Drayton started strongly and pinned OW in their own half, but didn't really threaten our goal. Slowly OW worked themselves into the game, producing some decent linked play, using space and width.

The game continued in the same vein, with Drayton dominating possession but not carving out real chances, OW continued to work hard, and asked questions of the Drayton defence.

10 minutes before time Drayton managed to find the net with a follow up shot from a short corner, as their rotation took its toll on the OW 11

0-1 was harsh on a team who had defended exceptionally well for the entire game. The whole team gave maximum effort, but ultimately no reward was forthcoming.
