Match Report | Fabulous effort, most complete team performance in the last couple of seasons . Dan , and his defenders , Harj, coxy, kram and Jack limited Buxton to a small number of efforts on goal. Jack looking particularly assured, Kram also finding time to wobble into the opposition D a couple of times. Jake had a commanding game in midfield , with excellent decision making on when to pass or dribble. Josh was energetic and effective , Joseph was mercurial, brilliant at times holding on to the ball too long on other occasions, James Dunn had a break through game , as he discovered the benefits of rolling out to the strong side, and completing some excellent passes, Paul and Ian provided thier usual energy and pace, and Jandu remembered where the goal was. Wulfs largely dominated the first ten minutes, going in front after Joseph went on a mazy run , dropping a reverse pass into the D for James to slap first time into the goal. With precision timing Jandu came on just as wulfs won thier first short corner , which was duly dispatched to make it 2 0. Buxton scored a scruffy short corner , Dan saved twice but eventually Buxton forced the ball home , we continued to dominate , but didn't extend our lead 2 1 at halftime. After the break we continued to run the game , Jandu extending the lead , being put through by an excellent pass from Jack , years of experience, led to a quick assessment of the situation , as Jandu put the ball into the path of the defender who obliging booted the ball into the goal. Jandu made it 4 1 from a more traditional strike, and finally Joseph beat three or four defenders, rounded the keeper and finished smartly , to complete the scoring and a comprehensive 5 1 victory |
