Match Report | The last friendly before the season begins took us away to West Brom 3rds. The M6 wasn't behaving today and we started the game with 10 players. After going a goal behind we finally welcomed our eleventh man. The game itself was fairly even with a youthful Old Wulfs side arguably having the better of the possession. Unfortunately West Brom had the best player on the pitch in their ranks and he made a massive difference to the goal count. However Wulfs should be pleased with their performance, the hard running of Becket and Ward in midfield was matched by the tenacity of Wilson who bagged himself two goals. The oldies didn't do too bad either with the evergreen Jeff marshalling the right side of defence. We're not going to meet many sides as strong as this in the league this season, so we should stay positive for the coming season. The Stand in Skipper |
