With both teams fielding stronger line-ups than in their first meeting this season, 5th game against Finchfield 5ths saw both teams working hard to create scoring opportunities. Finchfield broke the deadlock in the first half with a well struck shot from a penalty corner and were in front 1 - 0 at half time. OW levelled the game with a goal in open play from Robbie Thompson early in the second half, and had managed to keep the scores level with good work from Steve Rowlands in goal aided by a couple of goal line clearances. Both teams created scoring opportunities but both defences held firm. A few minutes from full time OW were awared a penalty corner and Robbie Thompson scored with a direct shot. OW then maintained concentration to see the game out in the face of determined pressing by Finchfield for an equaliser. A very good win 2 - 1 in a very competitive game.
