Match Report | OW 4ths welcomed league leaders Lichfield 5ths to WGS, hoping to give them a better game than the reverse fixture before Xmas. Alas it was not to be, Lichfield showed why they lead the league - fast, young, well coached and confident. We didn't concede until 16 mins into the first half and by half time we were 7 down. They only added 3 more in a much improved 2nd half, but the reality is that we were outplayed and outclassed. There was no lack of effort but their afore mentioned traits simply proved too much for the older legs of the 4ths. Colin kept the score down, Alex Sankey and James Wall provided some glimpses of our younger talent. Mann and Anderson found some space and time in the 2nd half, but it was never to be....and so we head to the final game of the season, hoping for a more balanced fixture and maybe a more positive result. |
