| Match Report | Sometimes the score does not reflect the game - OW 4ths pushed West Brom al the way in this game. We welcomed John Ashmore, on a rare visit to the Midlands, to the team plus Ben Wall, John Murray and Paul Fisher. The first half was WB probing and OW defending resolutely - just before half time WB sacred thanks to a completely miscued pass which completely wrong footed the defence. Immediately after half time WB added a second thanks to a short corner which was disputed by Savage and Mann, due to the height of the strike. OW responded with Harj winning our first short and Mann slammed home. WB then increased the intensity with their star (Albion season ticket holder) very much to the fore. They added 4 more, but OW fought to the end. Ashmore was fantastic in his first game for sometime, Ben Wall was tenacious in midfield and the whole team battled until the end. An honourable defeat! |
