4th Team Vs Finchfield 4

Different week, same outcome!

OW 4ths lined up against a strong Finches 4 team. We welcomed Rowlands H for his annual game, and they lined up with 11 outfield players and no GK! This was telling as their quality enabled them to overload the midfield. It poured it down with rain as they poured through our ranks. 0-4 at halftime.

The arrival of their GK, strangely, made things easier for OW, but the goals kept coming, two fortuitous attempts ended up in the back of the net. - one off a wicked deflection, another squeezed between the legs of an attacker, blindsiding Horton. 

Farmer and Mann competed hard in midfield and some pressure was applied to their defence.

A nasty blow too Munn's ankle saw him  become our lone striker, but no fairytale was to materialise! The 11 players gave everything (as usual) but the same outcome prevailed - opposition too strong and a 0-8 result.
