3rd Team Vs Streetly 3

The 100% start to 2019 continued with a thumping 8 2 victory against Streetley. 

Things didn't start to brightly as we seemed to have forgotten how to play and dropped to the slow pace of the opposition. Who took a deserved early lead. Ben Ward awoke the team from it's slumber with numerous promising breaks down the right wing, one of which led to our first goal , slipping the ball into the D for Gary O'Sullivan to touch in smartly.

Goal  2 followed quickly as the ball broke to Jandu at the top of the D , their keeper could not control the shot , as it rolled off his pads towards goal , Josh Wilson beat the defenders to the ball and threw in a spin before finally deciding to score.Goal  3 came from another good run and cross from Ben , tipped in by Jandu.

As last week at three goals we went to sleep again and Streetley pegged the score back to 3 2. A great break and interchange of passes between Josh and Dan Taylor eventually put Jandu clear one on one with the keeper to make the score 4 2 at half-time .

We played better in the second half Gary scoring the fifth goal playing a neat one two with a confused Streetley defender.

Joseph won our first short corner with a skilful run down the right wing , which was duly dispatched by Jandu . Goal 7 was tipped in at the far post by Gary from a Jandu cross/shot. Joseph won us another short corner which Josh slapped in at the far post just as we had practiced before the game.

All in all a good result and a much improved 2nd half performance .
