Match Report | The match report for this week will be short due to the weather being so cold. My brain function is limited in these conditions and it affects my memory as well as my general work ethic. Anyway, Wulfs continued their good form from previous weeks to get the win against Bloxwich, even though no less than three first team regulars (Ablard, Shave & Cartwright) were unavailable. The game didn’t get off to a great start as the travelling side scored first from a penalty corner. However, Old Wulfs soon got a grip on the game and got one back before half time through a Will Ashworth close range strike. The second half continued in the same vein, although Wulfs rode their luck to take the lead when a feather touch from Archie Harris somehow found the bottom corner. This was then followed up by a very good one-touch finish from Matt McNay which flew into the top corner, and the game was rounded off when the ball was neatly worked into the D to Ollie Harris who made it 4-1. A thoroughly good effort from all, despite a depleted squad. |
