3rd Team Vs Stone

A 4pm start at Stone for a basement battle. Would the weather gods be on our side. Short answer - No (although the snow did hold off until after our game).

Old Wulfs started nervously and gave an early goal away, Stone dominated the early possesion and pinned Wulfs in their own half. Wulfs slowly got back into the game and almost equalised through Tustin. Unfortunately we let in another goal before half time.

With the Wulfs languishing at the bottom of the table, we had to change our fortunes. The skipper subbed himself on and the second half started more positively for Wulfs, we started to hold some possesion in the Stone half. Unfortunately Stone took an early 2nd half chance to make it 3-0. Wulfs continued to press and persistence by Green caused confusion in the Stone defence leaving the skipper with an easy finish.

Unfortunately the comeback was not on, Wulfs were wasteful with possesion and Stone again started to dominate, heads started to drop and the goal count piled up. The final score was 8-1 to the home side.

For two weeks running we have gone from trailing by two goals at half time to conceding 6 goals in the 2nd half. We need to learn from our mistakes and not make it so easy for our opponents to dominate.
