Match Report | For a team struggling for points the arrival of table topping Wednesbury was never going to be an easy fixture. The first half was fairly even but the youthful Wednesbury side had a cutting edge to their play which resulted in two well earned goals. Old Wulfs had their best spell of the game at the end of the 1st half but couldn't turn possession in the D into meaningful chances. After the break the Wulfs wilted and Wednesbury took complete control hitting their mark on a frequent basis adding another 6 goals. The game was played in a fairly good spirit but still managed to produceĀ 4 yellow cards. 3 for Wednesbury (1 that possibly could have been a red as the attacker lashed out against the defender on the floor) and a single comical card for Rai. Subbed back on the pitch for the last few minutes he left 30 seconds later for impeding the attackers run with his body. Man of the Match - Too many individual errors for any player to be awarded this week. Next week we travel to Stone in a relegation 6 pointer. |
