Match Report | On a weekend blighted by the snow Droitwich managed to defy the elements and prepare a match worthy pitch. Both sides had chances in a an even encounter but no-one was able to make the breakthrough. Thompson, Jandu and Cooper Jr all going close. In the 2nd half Old Wulfs temporarily went down to 10 men with Jones being carded for appealing to the umpire. The Wulfs held firm though with both sides squandering short corner oppurtunities. The Skipper came on for the last 15 minutes but only lasted five as injury forced him off. In the end a point well earned while all our rivals didn't play and have to face the Rearranged fixture lottery. Man of the Match - No clear contenders, it was a good effort by the team as a whole. However I'll give to Stew Upton for his efforts destroying opposition play throughout the game. |
