Match Report | A poor result and a performance against the bottom team in the division. A poor first half saw concede two goals. We managed to generate some pressure but we couldn't convert our short corners. The second half bought a mild improvement and we pulled a goal back from a Cooper Sr short corner converted by Cooper Jr. Cooper Sr then took a knock below his knee and had to leave the pitch. Cooper Jr went close near the end from a through ball from the skipper, in the last few seconds Gill almost snatched an equaliser but his shot was deflected wide. A chance to put daylight between us and a fellow struggler wasted, we now stand in a precarious position near the bottom of the table. Man of the Match - No obvious contenders but Savage was our most consistent performer today. |
