Match Report |
All seemed well. Joe Satchwell was spotted en route in his strip with plenty of time left for the push back. Little did we realise he desired a smart new haircut from Bilbrook Barbers in order to look his best for Solihull Blossomfield. Ed was enjoying cornetto songs on the gondolas of Venice so Chris Tutton again stepped into the breach as captain. We started with 10 and kept the score to 0 -0 . Joe joined us with his dapper new look and we promptly went a goal down to a well taken Short Corner. We never got into the game for the rest of the half and whilst we created opportunities we defended, and otherwise played, poorly inviting Solihull to take shots which they duly did and we went into half time losing 0-3. The second half was a much better affair. Rob Hemmings again finding Martin with a number of excellent passes. We prevented any further goals and scored 2 but again created good opportunities and were perhaps unfortunate to leave pointless. Both sides had a player sent off for contesting the umpires decisions and notwithstanding any views upon that the first half goals were all down to our own poor play. Final game at home next week to already relegated Market Drayton. |
